v1.5.0
Document Intelligence, Credit Detection, and Education Redesign
Document Intelligence
- Two-stage expense categorization — Stage 1 classifies documents into 16 broad categories (business expense, personal expense, credit-triggering, etc.). Stage 2 maps each to a specific form line using the tax graph's HANDOFF_MAP.
- Automatic credit detection from uploads — Upload a solar invoice and PaisaTax suggests Form 5695 with a credit estimate. Same for daycare receipts (Form 2441), EV purchases (Form 8936), and EV charger installations (Form 8911).
- Source priority system — Five-level priority (override > preparer > ocr > upload > system) ensures preparer values are never overwritten by AI extraction. Purple overlay marks manual overrides.
- Direct-category routing — Personal expenses (medical, charitable, energy) route directly to their target form. Business expenses route through quarterly bookkeeping tracking first.
Bookkeeping Handoff
- HANDOFF_MAP expanded to 52 entries — 21 Schedule C + 16 Schedule E + 15 Schedule F expense categories now flow from quarterly bookkeeping to the tax return at filing time.
- Duplicate detection — 5% threshold prevents double-counting when both bookkeeping totals and manually entered amounts exist for the same category.
New Document Types
10 new categorizable document types:
- Daycare receipts, solar/energy invoices, EV purchase agreements, EV charger receipts
- Medical bills, charitable receipts, property tax bills
- Lease agreements, farm receipts, expense reports
Education Center
- Full redesign — Education pages now match the home and pricing page aesthetic. Glass-card components, consistent typography, proper hover states, and polished section headers across all pages.
- Form marquee updated — Landing page now shows all 60 supported forms with status indicators (fully, mostly, partially supported).
- New "Document Intelligence" guide category — 4 guides: What to Upload, How AI Categorization Works, Automatic Form Creation, Source Priority & Overrides.
- Updated Form Library — Now lists all 60 forms with field counts, support status, slotted/toggle info, and trigger conditions.
- New "Credits & Deductions" taxpayer guide — Plain-English coverage of every credit and deduction PaisaTax finds automatically.
- New "Bookkeeping to Tax Return" preparer guide — How quarterly data flows to Schedule C/E/F, the 52 HANDOFF_MAP entries, conflict resolution, and duplicate detection.
