1. Create a Client
From the dashboard, search for an existing client or click Create new client. Enter basic info: first name, last name, email, and phone number. PaisaTax stores client records so you can find them quickly next filing season.
Tip
If your client already uses the PaisaTax mobile app, their profile data auto-fills when you create a session.
2. Create a Session
A session is one tax return for one tax year. You'll walk through three setup steps:

| Source Documents | Upload W-2s, 1099s, 1098s — AI classifies and extracts data automatically |
| Additional Situations | Add forms the client needs that aren't triggered by documents (Schedule C expenses, rental properties, etc.) |
After setup, PaisaTax creates the session and computes all downstream forms automatically.
3. Review in Prep View
The split-screen prep view shows the PDF on the left and the wizard on the right. Fields are color-coded so you can see at a glance what came from where:

Click any field in the PDF to jump to the corresponding wizard question. Answer questions in the wizard and watch the PDF update in real time.

Forms auto-enable as you enter data. Enter a W-2 Box 12 Code W and Form 8889 (HSA) appears automatically. No manual toggling needed.
4. Export the Return
When everything looks correct, click Export to generate a merged PDF containing all applicable forms and schedules. The export includes a summary page showing key 1040 lines: AGI, total tax, withholding, and refund or amount owed.
